Half the story......you figure out the rest.

This blog post is about Independent Contractors and the company they may work for. I am starting with a new company. I love everything about it. It is a company that uses Independent Contractors---and shares the wealth with these people. They give to charity. A very-very cool person is their spokes person. They have won awards and accolades from Forbes. They allow people to work as Independent Contractors and make a nice living-----takes time. They are reputable. Some people just fear and can't understand this type of company. Mary Kay-Avon-Tastefully Simple-I love the premise that the more work you put into something the better your chances to succeed. Try that in the old Corporate world.....and if you are downsized......well...hurts doesn't it???? I previously worked for two banks.....not saying which ones. We were collectors, well and extensively trained, in a controlled setting-big brother and sister were listening to our every call. We were paid a bonus-given incentives-and got fun time----the more we collected---the better these were. So---we had some bad collectors----greedy----spoiled it for everyone----one department was sued-and shut down, as a result of this rule breaking. This also happened in the mortgage industry----don't get me started.....okay..just one----I call a perfect credit score and ask them why they thought the previous person had their mortgage rate at 10% interest????? Answer? "Well,he was such a sweet young man"------who had been fleecing the elderly. Was legal---back then. A company was fined for misleading info on their web-site-----well, most corporations have Attorneys on retainer who proofread everything...and they can still be sued-fined. Does this make a company bad? Does it???? No.....it makes them more human. As to the greedy bad apples-----it will always be---you can screen and screen----it will still happen. A good company deals with it and moves on. There are good to know things that you learn from the BBB. And there are things that reflect half the story. Hmmmmm.
