I wanted to write about deals I saw while out shopping: Tada......
Okay, I will not lie, shopping rates right up there with eating for me-necessary to sustain life.
With the given economy, alot of people are window shopping-" I'm just looking-thanks"! Me too.
I was at the Kenwood Towne Center-Kenwood, Ohio, on Friday, and I could not believe the clearance pricing.
I mean, one of the greatest secrets around is J C Penney. ( Not at Kenwood---it's in Deerfield-at the corner of Montgomery Road and Fields Ertle)
I worked there and had a woman bring up a designer dress, all told, after clearance-sales we were having-a whopping $2.00-I could not believe it. Unreal. Surreal? I rang her out-so it was def. real.......they-JCP-have amazing sales like that all the time....pretty cool.
And a man can be totally outfitted and in style-complete Men's department and nice stuff. Suits-coats-shoes ( nice-in the Shoe Department) -shirts-ties-and Roos!
So back to the Mall-Kenwood Towne Center is so pretty and nice to visit anytime of the year. Nordstroms-Dillards-Macys----the Anchor Stores.....
We have a friend who works for Macy's and they have incredible sales and merchandise also.....check it out. The formal dresses are wonderful-once again-selection-style and colors.....POW!
I went into Jule ( at the Nordstrom's end) -which is a shop that has purses and jewelery: and all handbags were.......wait for it.....$19.00-Incredible! Just incredible! With such a great variety of styles and colors to choose from.
They also have rose gold watches with crystals all around the dial for:.......$12.00-I could not believe my ears.......so I made her-the shopkeeper repeat that---yep!-it was $12.00..maybe $12.99--I was in a bit of a daze.....Shoppers high! Woo-wee!
In a crowded room-from across the room or on a stormy night, driving in the rain-in the opposite direction going 60mph-could you tell that the watch for $12.99 from Jule, wasn't as beautiful as the $150.00 one from _____ or the $1,500 one from _____those had a label or real diamonds and gold on the terribly pricey one....
This mini-editorial-is from my Fiance'-a pretty savvy shopper himself. Stuff-for "The little Machine Shop on the Prairie". haha.
I picked up on the run-a lunchbox at Nordstrom's Cafe----they have coffee-yogurts-lunches-----and alot more-right beside the Store-and on the other side of Jule.....
Mine was just yummy-3 cheeses-2 giant strawberries-a bunch of grapes-and wheat crackers. Under $6.00---the usual price.....Nordstrom's has a restaurant in the main store--Grille-some such thing---trust me-the Cafe is yum! The yogurt parfaits are yogurt-fruit and granola for like $3 something....
Then I had to swing by Godiva for my free piece of Chocolate-(gift from the Gods)-Godiva-not chocolate----lol.
Great shops and usually great shopkeepers. Occasionally, you may run into a Snarkie individual-just contact their home office( where the company originates) This works wonders and helps them keep an eye on their stores.
Alot of people 'Mystery Shop" or participate in Consumer market research-and, you can make some nice money to shop with-doing this!
We will do our very next blog-listing some of these companies to do research for-for you!
So get out there-our temp is 8* right now-so maybe when it warms up a bit?--and shop til you drop-----at these prices-it is def. do-able. Zoweeee!
